Last week review 38-2019

Last week review 38-2019 and this week it felt like fall already in the morning ..

Last week review 38-2019Too bad thatt vacation is over but this way i posted a review on the FeelWorld F6 plus this week, which will be mainly used for video recording with my Lumix G81. The main difference to the FeelWorld MA 5 which i gave back is the touch display.

In addition to operating the monitor with touch this model is with 5,5 inches a little bit bigger in size compared to the MA5. Pushing the menuwheel on top of the monitor a short menue is displayed to switch to the most important settings like focus peaking or false colors.

Last week review 38-2019

The basic settings are done in the menue and there you can change settings for brightness or volume very fast and easy with the menuewheel.

The monitor just like the MA5 can be operated either with the sort of standard NP-F batteries or with Canon LP-E6 type batteries. Too bad that the advertised option to power the camera with the monitor battery didn’t work out.

Last week review 38-2019Then Skylum announced the next upcoming features for Luminar 4. After publishing the information about the AI based sky replacement tool now mainly portrait photographers are in focus. With 2 new AI tools the Skin Enhancer and the Portrait Enhancer the software will support the photographer doing skin retouching, refining the eyes and other settings. The example in the video available on Youtube looked pretty good so far.

Very positive is the Skylum decision to keep the plugin feature for Luminar 4 so the software can be used from within Lightroom or Photoshop and other supported programs. Skylum changed the roadmap and there we find informations about a upcoming update for Luminar 3 concerning IPTC fields.

Until the release date  Luminar 4 can be preordered.

Last week review 38-2019And talking about announcements ON1 will release  ON1 Photo RAW 2020 in October. which offers quite a lot of AI powered tools. The new version of the raw converter will be accompanied by corresponding apps both for Android and iOS systems and for a later date by a program to process videos.

A beta version of ON1 Photo RAW 2020 can be downloaded, you just have to enter an email-adress and probably get the download link.

ON1 Photo RAW 2019 did look good, so i probably will do a review on the new version. With apps for mobile devices and video processing ON1 is going to build a quite impressive suite. We just have to wait and see how ell this combination will. A raw converter working both on a desktop pc and mobile devices besides the Adobe Cloud is desirable.

Very quietly Lightroom Classic and Lightroom CC both for desktop and mobile devices were update to version 8.4.1. I couldn’t find a blog post to see the differences so it might be only a bugfix.
But anyway this was an interesting week  and I hope you like the blog posts and i’m looking forward to your questions and comments.

ciao tuxoche
