Last week review 32-2018

Last week review 32-2018 and this week we finally got the long awaited cooling down  😉

Last week review 32-2018This week we had a look on the panorama stitching software  PTGui, which was released in a completly revised version 11 by the company. The first version was released at the beginning of July but the the company released pretty fast error corrections until we reached version 11.6. The update to version 11 is free of charge depending on the date you bought an earlier version, so its the best to check the website for details.

Besides the new look f version 11 the panorama editor and the panorama viewer seem to be a little bit faster because the make use of the GPU acceleration of the graphical processing unit. Newly implemented is a lens database which contains the main parameter of every lens like field of view. This is helpful when using extrem ultra wide angle lenses which were handled as a fisheye lens in former versions of the software. Besides this there are no new functions in this software release and the main improvements should be in the program code underneath the surface.

Last week review 32-2018Last week WordPress released a new version 4.9.8 which advertises the Gutenberg editor coming up  in version 5 and being the standard editor. In addition the WordPress team corrected some errors especially some inconsistencies with tools which are supposed to protect personal data. If you activated the automatic update function you should just check if you need to update some of you plugins.

Last week review 32-2018If you started Luminar 1.3.0 this week you’ll get a notice which informs you about version 1.3.1 is available for download. This version doesn’t add any new functions, it is just a correction version. The version 1.3.1 corrects problems not being to able to save a file in some situations or not being able to save a preset while certain filters were active. On the other hand the was warning missing when you tried to open a new file while the edited file wasn’t saved. But as i said it is an error correction version only.

But anyway this was an interesting week  and I hope you like the blog posts and i’m looking forward to your questions and comments.

ciao tuxoche
