Last week review 39-2026

This week was very nice, but you can notice the autumn quite clearly, especially at night. Then it somehow smells like autumn 😉

Weekly review 39-2026

This week Skyllum released the version Lumina version 1. 28.1 by Luminar . This is one of my version changes and you can’t expect any new functions or features here. The focus of this reease was on troubleshooting, especially a performance improvement.

And I can certainly confirm that with the performance, because the functions I tried, such as the export of images, focus stacking or panorama, are really faster than with the old versions. So here I must have done decisive things under the hood.

Weekly review 39-2026

At the moment Skylum has a promotion running that allows it to sell on this Lumina desktop version 1.28.1. for 59 € if you are in possession of an old Luminare license, for example Lumina AI, Lumina four Lumina three and even the old Aurora HDR version entitles you to this upgrade.

Weekly review 39-2026

Here there was recently an in-house fair at a photo dealer with various manufacturers, such as Fuji, Canon and Panasonic. Since special discounts were granted on this day, I could hardly stand with the Panasonic 2.8/24-60mm again and bought it. In the long run, it will of course replace the Lumix 3.5-5.6/20-60mm. Miot a continuous aperture of f2.0 it is of course more universal, but the 24mm at the lower end are already an incision.

Then this week Nikon released the Nikon Z52C , a compact version of the Z5 Mark zwo . At first glance, when you see the pictures, you immediately feel reminded of the Lumix S9. However, the Nikon does not have a viewfinder, but in contrast to the S9, a mechanical shutter.

Weekly review 39-2026

In addition, it can record RAW internally and therefore seems to be a really good hybrid camera in a small format except for the missing viewfinder.

All in all, another very eventful week.  I hope you like the articles and look forward to your questions and comments.
