Last week review 35-2018
|Last week review 35-2018 and this week the weather is very like summer but without the extreme temperatures of the last weeks, but still is it too dry 🙁
In this weeks blog post the topic was to join Lightroom with the classical social media like Twitter,Instagram, FaceBook and Google+ either directly uploading images with Lightroom or at least to provide more or less identical posts
If don’t pay attention to GPS metadata we need 3 plugins for Lightroom. Twitter and Instagram can be handled with the plugins from Jeffrey Friedl or the LR/Instagram plugin directly, while Google+ or Facebook must be handeled differently by doing exports to your harddrive and upload them manually to the social media. With a little help of the LR/Transporter plugin you can generate text files, which contain the desired data from Lightrooms database.
Last week Huawei rolled out a system update for the Huawei Mate 10 Pro. With the version 8.0.0.148 the cell phone will get not only safety patches from July 2018 but also the so called GPU turbo technology which should improve overall performance and also should improve battery life. According to Huawei performance increase will be up to 60% depending on the situation and increase in battera life should be arround 30%. So far i can’t state an increase in battery life but more important too me are the safety patches for the Abdroid system.
And at last Adobe did a statement about the support of operating systems in future versions of the Creative Cloud applications. According to this blog posts upcoming future versions of Lightroom and Photoshop will support Windows 10 beginning with version 1607 an newer. And the same is true for the video-/audio applications like Premiere Pro and Audition. In the blog post Adobe justifies this step with the support of cuntions users asked for and to assure a peak performance in the applications. The later one will cause most of the Lightroom users to laugh out very loud or getting very angry or both at the same time. Adobe has to catch up with performance before they about new functions in the app.
But anyway this was an interesting week and I hope you like the blog posts and i’m looking forward to your questions and comments.
