Last week review 45-2026
This week it was partly very nice and especially at the beginning of the week for the beginning of November, as I find too warm 😉

This week it was about the difficult decision which objective will be sold in this case. At the moment I still have both, namely the Sigma 45mm/F2.8 as well as the newer Panasonic Lumix 40 mm F2.0. When comparing the two lenses, it is noticeable that surprisingly the LUM! X objectively offers a touch of better optical quality, although it should hardly play a role in practical photography.

The Sigma 45mm/2.8 is a lens with outstanding processing quality, precisely because of this, namely the construction completely made of metal has a decisive disadvantage, namely the weight. On the S9 you constantly have the feeling that the combination of camera in the lens tilts forward and that makes the handling a little more unpleasant. That’s why I decided to sell the 45 mm Bbjective over time now and to keep the Panasonic Lumix 40 mm 2.0 especially for the LUMIX S9. In addition, I still own a regular 50 mm 1.8 lens from Panasonic for the larger cameras such as the LUMIX S1 II and also the LUMIX S1R II.

Then last week was published by on On1 On1 Photo in the edition 2027 and I decided to graduate. I will try the version, but apparently they probably worked on the RAW engine, which now per se should probably offer better results when editing RAW files.
Also the masking of different components in an image should now have been made more uniform and also offers ON1 Photo. RAW MAX the option of the On1 AI Noise Reduction also in the version 2027.
As the last news for this week, Canva, the manufacturer behind Affinity Photo, which is free except for the AI functions, released the corresponding version for the iPad . Here, too, the version without the AI functions is free of charge, only for the use of the AI functions, a Pro version is required, i.e. here too, it is a subscription.

New UGOS version 1.21.0, which now brings a few more apps, but where the Sync&Backup now also supports SMB and FTP, unfortunately no RSYNC via SSH.

But the update on the DXP4800+ went smoothly, because here there were already reports that after the update a login may no longer work.
All in all, another very eventful week. I hope you like the articles and look forward to your questions and comments.
