Last week review 41-2024

Weekly review 41-2024 and this week the weather really became autumnal and there were severe weather warnings 😉

Last week review 41-2024This week it was time again for Skylum, who implemented a few new functions and improvements with the release of the autumn upgrade for Luminar NEO. You can still benefit from the discounts when you buy a license and the money-back guarantee is still there

Last week review 41-2024For the first time there are some functions for managing photos. For example, you can search for the camera used or for certain ISO settings. And you can even combine these parameters. Really good for a first step in this direction.

The search for any keyword still finds too many incorrect results in the current version, but it is also the first implementation. There will definitely be some improvements in future versions.

Then there are improvements to the masks and the generative functions. You can now mask using a specific color and the GenErase function, for example, now works faster and more precisely, although it is sometimes clear in the replacement area that editing has taken place.

Last week review 41-2024Then there was a lot of news from Panasonic this week. Anyone who was expecting an S5R with 47 megapixels was disappointed. Instead, Panasonic has released the S5D. This is de facto a Lumix S5, but it can be coupled with the DJI RS3 Pro gimbal and the lidar module.

Last week review 41-2024Then the 18-40mm zoom lens announced at the launch of the Lumix S9 is finally here and is apparently now available. It is really very compact and makes sense in conjunction with the S9, you get a very small and compact combination.

And then there were a few firmware updates, one of them also for the Lumix S9, which, among other things, at least makes it possible to switch off the annoying time limit for videos.

There is also a firmware update for the Lumix S5IIx that now brings LUT support to the camera. You can now apparently store 40 LUTs in a LUT library. Consequently, the Lumix LAB app is now also supported and the new XLR module is supported (although not for 32-bit audio recordings).

All in all, another very eventful week. I hope you like the articles and look forward to your questions and comments.

ciao tuxoche
