Last week review 07-2025
|Weekly review 07-2025 and this week it felt a bit warmer 😉
This week was about Da Vinci Resolve and the possibility of uploading rendered videos from Da Vinci Resolve itself to YouTube (but also other platforms).
This very convenient functionality has a few drawbacks, not to mention the fact that these functions have not yet been implemented in the Linux version of Da Vinci Resolve. This shouldn’t actually be a problem, as MacOs is also a Unix-like operating system and the corresponding functionality is available there.
For a direct upload to work, the Da Vinci program must remain open for the entire upload, otherwise the upload will not be carried out and there will be no option to initiate the upload separately. I just hope that these bugs will be ironed out in one of the next versions..
Skylum is offering a Valentine’s Day sale for the Aperty software with corresponding discounts. There you can get a 50% discount on the subscription or the purchase license for Aperty. If you order via this link you can simply take a look at the program and try it out. The promotion runs until February 17th.
On my blogs, WordPress was updated to version 6.7.2 in the middle of the week. This is a maintenance version that essentially contains bug fixes.
Then in the middle of the week Adobe released an update for Lightroom Classic and Lightroom. With the update of Lightroom Classic we are now going to version 14.2. As usual, this includes support for new lenses and cameras, primarily the Olympus OM-3.
There were also improvements in the tether module, which I cannot try out because, for example, Lumix cameras are not supported, only Canon, Nikon and of course Sony.
The adaptive profiles, which adapt to the subject, are interesting, however. I’ve tried a few things now and they’re probably a better starting point for further editing. It looks as if the Adaptive Profile applies the Auto settings to the image in addition to the Adobe Color Profile.
All in all, another very eventful week. I hope you like the articles and look forward to your questions and comments.
