Weekly review 28-2025, and this week it was very rainy but also very warm and humid 🙁

This week was about profiling a monitor, specifically the Dell U2722 DE. Unlike my LG UN32, which is hardware calibrated, this one requires software profiling. Since X-Rite apparently sold to Calbrite, the profiling software is no longer supported.

Calbrite does have software, but it requires a new license. Therefore, I used the free software DisplayCal to connect my measuring device. The measuring device was recognized immediately, and I could start measuring right away.

The measurement takes 4-5 minutes on my X300, which is equipped with a Ryzen CPU. But then the results are displayed and the profile is saved.

At least the Dell is certified to have 99.9% sRGB coverage, which is also consistent with other test results. The free software is really good and produces flawless results.

Last week, there was also an update for WordPress. Version 6.8.2 is now available. Depending on your settings, the WordPress instance was updated automatically; you may need to check if all plugins are still working. This is a maintenance release that simply fixes a few bugs.
