Last week review 30-2025
|This week felt more like a week in autumn, but apparently we need the rain:-)
In the article for this week it was about RapidRAW an interesting development on Github, where the developer offers the Rohr Converter for download. The Ro Converter is available for both Windows and Mac but also for Linux.
The development listed there describes the development from the first idea of this converter to version 10 in just under 14 days, which alone is already impressive.
Retro that is externally constructed like a Lightroom. Desktop Clone already has some functions that would allow a more or less complete development.
Of course, there are still some bugs with this early version. So the masks are not always so accurate but this happens in Lightroom. Classic is also a little more problematic that some controllers are visible in the picture, so to speak, with delays. Also, for example, when diming the lights, a rather gray part of the image is created, which also looks at the contrast, the developer had to apply further corrections.
Regardless of this, RapidRAW is certainly a very interesting development, and I will definitely continue this program, especially since version 1.3.4 has been published in the meantime, which, for example, also allows the composition of panoramic images. I only hope with this development that also detail improvement and above all the cleaning of bugs enjoy as much priority as the implementation of new features.
This week, Proxmox in version 9.0 was released as the final version after 1 relatively short beta phase. AXA 9.0 is now based on DIN Trixie speaks version 13, which was also recently released. The essence of the innovations are of course the new Körle based on the DB 13 version and of course also newer program versions, for example of QEMU, LXC, Squid and of course above all also ZFS. A detailed upgrade guide, as is usual for Procon, can be found here.
Then version 20.1 of Da inci Resolve was released on Thursday. This contains a whole series of especially minor improvements in connection with Apple devices or the pink camera but also the new masks 2.0 in the Fusion page. The new version is available immediately for Windows macOS and Linux
All in all, another very eventful week. I hope you enjoy the articles and look forward to your questions and comments.
