Last week review 15-2025
Weekly review 15-2025 and still quite warm and, above all, sunny, but unfortunately also too dry ;-(
Over the last two weeks, I’ve shared two parts about my most-used apps/programs that simply make life easier on a daily basis. The last part was combined with a video that gives you at least a rudimentary introduction to the apps.
On the one hand, there are tools for the MacBook, such as Al Dente, which ensures that the battery of a MacBook Air or now my MacBook Pro isn’t constantly charging. This would cause the battery to age faster, and that’s why my charge limit is set at 80%.
But there are also tools that provide additional security, such as password managers like KeepassXC and, for some time now, Vaultwarden. In addition, there’s two-factor authentication via apps or even hardware keys like Yubikey. And securing critical accounts should be especially important. Guide the way.
Sklyum is still running a discount campaign, the spring sale from April 4th to 24th. It’s up to 75% off Luminar NEO if you order Luminar NEO via this link. There are also discounts for the Aperty app during the same promotional period. It’s definitely worth a look.
Adobe is expanding its AI strategy and integrating additional AI functions into its cloud applications, such as Photoshop and others. These are intended to support creatives in their work and also enable them to learn tasks independently. The only question here is when creative professions will be completely replaced, because then anyone can create any photo or graphic with just a few clicks of the mouse. This is probably also due to the fact that, according to Adobe, around 75% of Photoshop users already use Firefly.
All in all, another very eventful week. I hope you enjoy the articles and look forward to your questions and comments.
